Big Fun @ the State Fair

We did it and we had a great time. We were told 3 hours and you can get it all done. Our plan was to go till we were done or the kids were done, which ever came first. Well it came at the same time, 8 hours after we started. My parents took me and my kids, along with my brother Steve and his girlfriend Megan to the California State Fair. We started our "Daycation" by riding the Big Wheel, Mason called it the Finish Wheel. The rides were a big thing this year as the boys are getting bigger. Grandma went with me and the little boys on the log ride. All the boys rode the bumper cars. Then we found the kid area of the park and both Lucas and Mason were big enough to ride the rides all by themselves. That was a little weird to put my kids on a ride and not get on too, but it was fun to watch. We walked the exhibits, we saw the Extreme Motorcycle Riders, we drank a ton of water (I think the high was 95). Lucas plugged his nose as we looked at the animals, Mason took a 20 minute power nap, but Jill never fell asleep I think she was afraid she might miss something.
The best part of the whole day was the game in the Pirate Boats. You try to power these little motor boats while water shoots from the cannons. The ride last 3 minutes and when you are getting nailed by water three minutes seems like a very long time. I was teamed with Mason who did a great job operating a cannon. Lucas was teamed with Grandpa and while he was not ducking from the water he too did a great job. Before the game started I was not sure how we were going to get wet since the family in the boat before us was dry. Well the family was by themselves they didn't have anyone firing water at them. We all laugh so hard, it was so much fun. Thanks Grandpa for playing. When we were done Steve and Megan took the little boys out for round two.
By 9:00 we were all running on empty, we had nothing left that we needed or wanted to do. The teenagers were beginning to show up and being Friday night things could get crazy, so it was time for us to go. The minute we exited the fair Jill passed out. I think she knew it was over.
Below are some pictures of our fun day. Enjoy!

It totally throws me off when you refer to Bubba as Steve. I'm like, "who is Steve???"

I love the family picture. You, Jill and Mason are all posed and smiling so nicely and then a foot away sits Lucas with his mouth open wide and his finger pointing excitedly... Classic!
